iDviability Pty Ltd ("we", "our", "us") operates the iDfish mobile application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you use the App.

By using iDfish, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• First name, last name and alias
• Email address
• Suburb and state
• Password (stored in encrypted form)

Fishing Activity Data

When you use the App's features, we may collect:

• Fish catch records including species, size and measurements
• Trip log data including dates and locations
• Photos of fish catches
• Fishing region preferences

Location Data

With your permission, we collect location data to:

• Tag fishing trip locations
• Provide local tide and almanac information
• Show relevant fishing regulations for your region

You can disable location access at any time through your device settings.

Photos and Camera

With your permission, we access your camera and photo library to:

• Photograph fish catches for your trip log
• Identify fish species using our AI recognition feature
• Submit photos for species verification

Photos are processed on your device for AI identification and may be uploaded to our servers for catch logging and community features.

Device Information

We automatically collect:

• Device type and operating system
• Push notification token (if notifications are enabled)
• App version

Subscription Information

Subscription purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not store your payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the App's features
• Manage your account and subscription
• Display fishing regulations and tide data relevant to your region
• Enable community features such as leaderboards, challenges and catch sharing
• Improve and develop new features for the App
• Send push notifications (with your permission)
• Provide customer support

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect information:

• Facebook SDK — for optional social login and sharing features. Subject to Facebook's Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics — for app usage analytics. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store / Google Play Store — for subscription management and app distribution.
• Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) — for tide data. No personal data is shared with BOM.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers located in Australia. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

Some data is also stored locally on your device to enable offline functionality.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information:

• With other users through community features (leaderboards, shared trips) based on your participation
• When required by law or to comply with legal processes
• To protect the rights, safety or property of iDfish, our users or the public

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of push notifications via your device settings
• Revoke camera and location permissions via your device settings

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the updated policy within the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
